How to use the QR Code Generator
- 1
Choose what the code should do: open a link, call, text, email or join Wi-Fi.
- 2
Fill in the details and pick colors with strong contrast.
- 3
Download PNG for screens or SVG for print, and test the code with your phone camera.
Static codes that never expire
Many QR sites create dynamic codes that route through their servers and stop working when a subscription ends. This tool makes static codes: the link or details are inside the code itself, so it keeps working forever.
Tips for codes that scan
Most failed scans come from a few avoidable mistakes:
- Keep dark modules on a light background; inverted codes fail on some phones
- Print at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, larger for signs read from a distance
- Leave a quiet margin around the code
- Add UTM tags to URLs so you can see QR visits in GA4
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. They're static, so they work as long as the destination does.
Can I track scans?
Add UTM parameters to the URL (our UTM builder has a QR preset) and scans show up in GA4.
PNG or SVG?
SVG for print, since it scales without blurring. PNG for websites, slides and email.
Is my data stored?
No. Codes are generated in your browser.
