How to use the Case Converter
- 1
Paste or type your text. Each line is converted separately.
- 2
Choose a case style. The result updates instantly.
- 3
Copy the result. Your original text stays in the box for another style.
Which case to use where
For headlines and titles with style rules (AP, APA or Chicago), use the title case converter instead, because it handles small words like "and" and "of".
- Sentence case: page titles, buttons and most UI text
- lowercase: URLs, email addresses and hashtags
- Capitalized Case: names and product lists
- camelCase and PascalCase: JavaScript variables and components
- snake_case and CONSTANT_CASE: databases, Python and environment variables
- kebab-case: URL slugs and CSS classes
Fix text typed in caps lock
Paste text written in ALL CAPS and choose sentence case to restore normal capitals at the start of each sentence. Check names and acronyms afterward, since a converter can't know that "seo" should be "SEO".
Frequently asked questions
How do I change uppercase to lowercase?
Paste the text and choose lower case. To keep capitals at the start of sentences, choose Sentence case.
What is sentence case?
Only the first letter of each sentence is capitalized, plus proper nouns. It's the most readable style for long text.
What's the difference between title case and capitalized case?
Capitalized case capitalizes every word. Title case follows a style guide and keeps short words like "and" and "of" lowercase.
Does it work with accented letters?
Yes for upper, lower and sentence case. For camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case, accents are removed so the result is safe for code and URLs.
Is my text stored?
No. The conversion runs in your browser.
