How to use the Product Schema Generator
- 1
Enter the product name, URL, image and price exactly as shown on the page.
- 2
Add brand and identifiers (SKU, GTIN or MPN) when you have them.
- 3
Copy the code into the product template, then test the URL in the Rich Results Test.
What Product schema unlocks
Product markup tells Google the price, stock status and rating of an item in a structured format. Pages with valid markup can show price, availability and review stars in search results, and the same data feeds Google's shopping surfaces.
Rules that keep it eligible
Google ignores or penalizes markup that doesn't match the page. Keep it honest:
- The price and availability must match what shoppers see on the page
- Only add ratings for reviews that are visible on that product page
- Use a real GTIN (UPC/EAN) when the product has one
- Update markup when prices change, ideally from your product data
Shopify, WooCommerce and other platforms
Most themes output some Product markup already, often incomplete. Check what's there with the Rich Results Test first, then fill the gaps (brand, GTIN, shipping, returns) instead of adding a second conflicting block.
Frequently asked questions
Does Product schema improve rankings?
Not directly, but rich results with price and stars usually earn more clicks than plain listings.
Can I add review stars?
Yes, for products, if the reviews are real and shown on the same page. Self-serving reviews on business pages don't qualify.
What is a GTIN?
A Global Trade Item Number, such as a UPC or EAN barcode number. Adding it helps Google match your product to its catalog.
Is my data stored?
No. The code is generated in your browser.
