How I think about SEO
Most of my value is diagnostic.
Tactics are easy to copy. Knowing which one your site needs right now is the hard part. These are the rules I work by.
Calls, forms and bookings are the deliverable
Rankings only matter if they bring work in. Every report I send explains what changed, what search did, what users did and what happens next.
Diagnose before you fix
When a crawl reports 1,800 errors, I look for the one template causing them, instead of billing for 1,800 fixes.
Search Console beats keyword tools
Some of the best leads I've produced came from very specific searches that no keyword tool showed, found in Search Console months after a page went live.
Publishing is the start, not the finish
Publish, let the page age, read what Google actually tested it for, then expand it or split it.
More traffic isn't automatically a win
I have narrowed a client's targeting because broader coverage was bringing in requests they couldn't serve.
Backlinks aren't the default answer
When a page stalls, the cause is usually intent mismatch, weak internal linking, or a page that doesn't prove the business is real.
